There are some collectors who love used and faded bezel, dials ... My preference is real old school ..meaning collecting watch in pristine condition. Currently, there are still spare parts for these vintage watches from the 1970s. My guess is, once these spare parts have all been used up, Rolex center may stop servicing these watches.. So, if you have a used Rolex, my advice is to quickly send them to Rolex for restoration... The trend for battle worn watches may be just a fad... Have you seen antique ming or Ching dynasty vase in terrible condition appreciating in values?

4. Rolex gold octagonal

8. Rolex Aqua
9. Rolex Domino
10. Rolex 1655...
I have been wearing the 6542 for several days and the accuracy is unbelievable or a 1950s watch. The 6294 has just returned from service and the photos shows both the sports and dress watches from the 50s era.. Life is good!

There are many collectors who are very particular of the mk 1 or 5 versions of the watch. There are also some who love the aged looked and faded bezel and dials etc. For me, my preference is always been to find the watch in as pristine condition as possible. Mint condition watches is the best and all dials wil have to be original. Whether it is version 1' 2 or 5' is ok for me...
I used to own many vintage hifi gears when I first came to HK. With the constant need to move apartment, I have since sold off most of my gear and only keep one simple set for listening.
Good morning Sunday!

Just took back my watch from my watch maker who has replaced the wining crown with the original winding crown...
My Patek experience started during my stay in Taipei during my Reemtsma days. Many Taiwanese love the PP brand more then Rolex. I remembered was involve in the vintage watch community in Taipei where I met Mr. Wang who is an expect in Vintage watches especially Patek. There are two PP any collector must have namely is the first generation and second generation pp automatic movements..
